Black Belt World Kitchener is located at 385 Frederick St Unit 11, Kitchener. This Taekwondo school in Burlington, is a jointly operated martial arts school by Grandmaster Tommy Chang and Master Erin Smibert. Black Belt World Kitchener is conveniently located in Frederick Mall with many amenities.
Black Belt World is committed to the physical and mental advancement of our students. We believe that dedicated guidance and training are necessary to achieve a strong mind, a powerful body, enduring discipline and ethical direction. We have helped train our students to become champions of life, national and provincial champions, stunt men & women, as well as stars for film and television. Our Programs include:
Tiny Tigers – Ages 3-5
Tiny Tigers is a great program for kids ages 3-5 to get started in Taekwondo. This program teaches children coordination, focus and confidence.
Children – Ages 6-12
The Children’s program teaches focus, coordination, respect, discipline and goal-setting. Children train with peers but advance at their own pace, achieving success with each new Stripe and Belt. Children learn through hard work and perseverance they can achieve their goals.
Teens & Adults – Ages 13+
Teens & Adults benefit from an engaging, exciting workout while also learning valuable self-defense skills.

My 6 year old girl started training about a month ago. She can’t wait to go to the classes! She absolutely loves it. Master Michael is so great with younger kids- his classes are actually fun to watch! he makes funny jokes with kids while he is teaching very important stuff. Master Julia is also great, she speaks Korean fluently, and helps my daughter practicing her Korean. Great place! Highly recommended!

This staff at this place is amazing. Master Chang is such an awesome teacher. My kid started there 1 year ago and is doing so well. The teaching methods are tailored to make sure kids are having fun while learning self defence, discipline and respect. They teach appreciation form which recites I respect myself and I respect parents.

This place is awesome. My daughter has been going here for 2 months now. She did a trial lesson and was hooked. Master Chang is friendly , very helpful and made her feel welcome from the first class. He is an excellent instructor and has a calm authority, instilling discipline and confidence in each child. This is like a family run business and you can see they love being there. We have been coming here for a few months now and it never fails to amaze me how good this place is for my son. he is 6 yrs old and love the activity they do every time. they focus and all the kids at different level and teaches them to be confident, thankful to have found this place, all sansei are great! can’t compliment them enough.

These guys are amazing. Our son is really young, and we wanted to see if this would be a fun activity for him while teaching him some discipline as well. The master was so up front and honest with us and worked really hard with our son to try to prepare him. We will definitely be returning when the time is right!

I absolutely love this place. My son is four years old and has been coming since he was 3. Most places I tried before didn’t want a three year old, here they welcome and work very well with them in the Tiny Tiger Class . I enjoy everything about it, They are awesome with the kids.
